I tried playing BF4 last year. A good game but I’m shit so didn’t enjoy it. Probably won’t play this as a result. Or indeed any multiplayer game ever.

In b4 “nothing beats 1942” tears.

Bf2 was best battlefield because mods and teamspeak

Also It's how this place started

I was in the reefermaniac clan during 1942 and BFV

I played BF1942 the most not just because it was a decent game for its time, but because I'd never played an online multiplayer shooter before and it was a whole new experience for me, which is something that continued into BF:V.

BF2 tightened up the maps, controls and brought in significant quality of life improvements. Loved it.

For me it's a toss-up between BF2 and BF:BC2 but they did admittedly arrive at different times of my gaming life, and what I want from a game changes over time too. BC2 maps felt tighter still, the action was quick to get to, the environmental destruction was ace and the learning curve wasn't as steep particularly with the maps. Life gets busier as you get older so it was just the sort of MP game I could enjoy at the time.

I tried BF3 for a while, which was OK but was on a bigger scale which didn't work so well for me. Tried BF4 last year and was too shit to enjoy it. Maybe if I got BF2042 early on there'd be a lot of other n00bs playing too and I might get some enjoyment from it, but I'm not gonna spend full price on a game finding out.

BC2 was way better than BF2.

Most of them sucked donkey balls... but ‘42 still reigns supreme

Remember ‘43? That was fun too.

‘42 gives me the fondest memories being an entirely novel experience and playing it with a couple of mates. The lack of things we now take for granted (iron sights and even running ffs) would drive me nuts these days though.

The BC2 engine (with prone, weird that BC2 didn’t have that) + ‘42 would be an epic combo.

I don’t have any fond memories of BF2 aside from when I gave up on it and just started C4’ing packed helos to see how many teammates I could kill. Fuck that game.

I had the first rush battle of bc2 dialed in
I knew the exact range my tank needed to be to hit those mcoms
You had to have tank zoom
I could sit back and nail them from so far away you couldn't touch me

If I was defending I would use the noob tube to get rid of all the trees and bushes
Good luck trying to make it then

It also helped that I had an alienware with tripple monitors
Now I don't have a pc

I played a lot of BF3, upgraded my puter for it.
I don't ever remember seeing a C130 or motorbikes?
