On Steam - Fall 2018

Quote:
World War 3 is a multiplayer military FPS set in a modern, global conflict. Strong teamplay, national armed forces, real locations, full body awareness and a versatile customization system all contribute to the authenticity of the modern combat experience enhanced by other essential elements such as a robust ballistic system, advanced armors and life-like weapons.

Produced in cooperation with military R&D centers and consultants, World War 3 shows the consequences of every battle in the context of a global war campaign on a strategic war map. Coming to Steam fall 2018

Could be a BF beater if they get it right. Unfortunately I'm a PS4 gamer so Ill never know for myself.

They could have named it something more original!

They are indie Slav-developers so I am not that sure they can overthrow a juggernaut like EA's BF. Especially in marketing. Although PUBG did explode and their dev team was as small as an indie studio so who knows.

It will release as Early Access on PC. I think once they smooth out the game, bugs, it's modes along with Battle Royale etc then it might get a Console release in the future. I mean if they love easy money why wouldn't they?

Console when? This looks like it might be a dethroner. Either BF or COD killer kind of dethroner.

That actually looks pretty good.

Got no problem with female combatants, as long as they are realistically portrayed.

Yep. This looks promisingly grim and not too scifi. No problem with chicks in this ofc as it's reality already. And I'll cheer if this will bury BF:SJW.
I wan't nuke grenades!

This looks like it has amazing potential, particularly concerning ground vehicle play. Certainly better than what Battlefield has been offering lately.

All it might need beyond more info is simply the ability to fly planes and choppers and maybe man/call in artillery fire.

Tops.

Flying vehicles are coming later on in the game according to Devs.. right now it's in Alpha-Early Access for Infantry and tank gameplay testing.

I believe that's already in the game, or at least getting constructed and modeled to implement it

Haven't been able to "test" it with other people. It sucks for me because, by the time I get home, the test servers are already closed. Maybe in the weekend. I think the studio is based in a Polish time zone so yeah. */|

But I did try the attack vehicles (tanks, APC's) ATVs etc and testing the classes and their oad outs by myself. The rainy, city map is huge... it's very nice actually. Looks a lot like a BF4.5 mixed in with a dab of ARMA or PUBG. I'm very impressed how this small Polish studio have been able to do all this so far.

So the new WW3 trailer and the game released today.
You guys can get this for $25 at GMG or $28 on Steam.

The game is a mix between BF, Tarkov and Battlefield 2.
You can tell that I'm already having too much fun with it: :">

Looks more like a BF clone than a BF killer to me. Only watched part of one vid though so maybe I'm missing something...

After putting in 12 hours or so, playing the game is definitely much more gratifying than just watching gameplay.
I see it more as a BF: Replacement than a 'BF killer'. At least until DICE gets their shit together or until BF:2020

The game had server release issues, it seems that the patch fixed it now.

These are my impressions:

From the time that I was able to play; the game is great! It's like Battlefield 2/3 and Tarkov had a baby and it's name was WW3.

Pros:
- Gunplay is superb,
- Like in PUBG, you can carry two Primaries and one Secondary
- Customization is vast,
- Lots of interesting Progression. It's actually fun as the in-game-Money you incur is actually not grindy.
- Tanks and attack vehicles are designed much better than in BF.
^ you can repair your tank parts and/or go back to base to quick repair and reload on your vehicle's ammo. Wish DICE learned from this
- No freakin 3D Doritos - in a shooter of all things!
- No hand holding Kill cam
- Head shots are rewarded much higher than BF

Cons:
- Soldier movement is currently a bit strange. Acceleration is one of them.
- Sounds Are a bit off.
- IMO: UI needs to be larger
^ Of course, all this is in a 'Work in Progress" state as stated by devs

What I wish for:
- Proximity and Squad VOIP (similar to PUBG)
- So far No Jets or Choppers. Rumored to have these added later on (only major gripe for me but I can live with it)

It needs some ironing out yes, but other than that I can see myself putting in an easy 1000+ hours in the following months. Can't wait until they put out more maps, new vehicles and its upcoming Battle Royale mode. All this for only $28? really it's a bargain.

Let's be real, this game CAN be easily compared to Battlefield. Both games share so many common similarities. When compared to BF5, while i do like the new gunplay it brought (minus the easy sniping once again) it still borked up my combined war experience and immersion with their "eccentric" alternative art direction and cosmetics... WW3 comes in and gives me that great BF-like experience that we have been severely lacking since the BF2-BF3 days. If you loved all the Battlefield games up to BF3 and maybe BF4 then I highly recommend this game. It's tactical but still fun to keep the action flowing. ... BUT If you favor the Battlefield 1 type of gameplay then this game is definitely not for you.

Only review I have seen so far on it (other than Graphics) is saying it's pretty good but needs some balancing. Apparently the upgraded armour can be pretty OP. But then, one could always argue that it should be.
