Which says a lot about the integrity of the “professional” reviewers.

Or maybe "players" are just whiney bitches.

On a probability curve from 0 to 1, 0 being impossible and 1 being absolute certainty. The probability of so many players being "whiny bitches" is much closer to 0 than it is to 1. Same curve, the probability of "professional" reviewers being liars is closer to 1 than it is 0.

You should apply this logic to the whole climate change debate.

I'm still super pissed off at how they have squandered the potential of this series and the hardware we have available to us now. I remember back in the '42 days thinking how awesome it would be with the increased computing power, faster Internet etc. - they could have even bigger maps, which would be fucking epic for air wars and tank battles etc. Instead they give us a fucking CoD clone with everyone jumping around in a twitchfest in a tiny map which fucking sucks and is not even large enough for runways. Fuck these assholes. Hope a meteor strikes them.

Yeah. How long did we wait for BF WWII "remake"? And then they gave us this. Jeesus F Christ!

Lost interest in this game now totally. Having seen some vids on the TimeToKill vs TimeToDie problems they're having (Basically, you plink away at a guy for ages, he turns and instagibs you) and the visibility issues (I supposed it could be "realistic" to have guys completely disappear into the background but it's not much fun!).

They completely changed the TTK. Then changed it back again a couple of days later. They don't know what the fuck they're doing!

I dunno man. I like to look back at '42 with rose tinted glasses. I fear I may be sorely disappointed if I ever fired it up again.

Now if anyone wants a BF4 session. Gimme a shout. Easily my 2nd favourite of the series.

No you won’t! I got into it again last winter. It’s still better than most of the new bullshit out there.

I probably don't miss the ice skating 42...watching people fly through the air from grenades was a hoot. bf3 and 4 were alright...i preferred BF2 over them though...squads and commanders were great...commander talking to SL's who talked to squads was great.

Remember the vote kick thing? I quickly discovered a player name exploit where if someone tried to kick me, it would say

“Kick’

?

And the vote would always fail.

Aye, IHOP was amazing.

God dammit you got me reminiscing about the old PBF shoop thread.

leaked BF5's FIRESTORM Battle Royale (Tutorial Video) via Reditt through the game files.

choppers in the game. Also looks like you can still defend yourself (with a pistol by the looks of it) when you are knocked down.

Everything I keep reading/lurking about on Reddit or the Battlefield forums basically reaffirms my decisions my decision not to buy.

And that's on top of DICE incompetence.

Between the endless game breaking bugs, the poor performance of both servers and the game, the Camperfield/Sniperfield/Assaultfield meta, the absolute drought of meaningful content, the poor and badly implemented designs and decisions done to the gameplay (spawn menu for vehicles, COD gunplay, Attrition to name a few), I'm just 100% not coming back. Battlefield 1 was the last Battlefield I'll ever play short of a complete overhaul first starting with canning everybody at DICE and handing the franchise over to somebody competent. Given this is EA we're talking about, it'll be given the Command & Conquer/Westwood treatment and killed off before such an overhaul will ever happen.

And apparently I'm not alone in the sentiment because at the EA Company Call a little over a month ago, the game finally fessed up some sales numbers and they were very poor. (7.3 million total at the time, compared to more than twice that for BF1 for the same time frame.)

Meanwhile I wait patiently for Halo Infinite.

I wanna give it a whirl, just to see for myself.

But, being an online game, I gotta pay for it, and fuck that after reading all that noise.

I'm certain there will be a game that will take BF's mantle in that genre.
How's that WWIII going? Anyone played more of it? What I hear that it is almost there...but almost isn't enough.
