Dunno if anyone has been following this game, but it will be releasing this month on the 5th.

So far it has gotten overwhelmingly positive reviews.

PC Gamer gave it a 94% http://www.pcgamer.com/xcom-2-review/

Turn based tho... A relic of a bygone age surely.

I played the demo briefly. Kinda had fun but not enough to make me buy it. I've been playing Supreme Commander again. The Fatboy - The single greatest unit in any RTS. Ever.

Turn based allows to to think/ponder more, which allows them to make it harder.

The Civ games just could not be so complex if they were not turn based.

XCom 2 and some expansion are with the Humble Bundle this month, truly immense game with some quality expansions for a small price.

If you ever pondered playing Xcom you will not be dissapointed, it is quality. Bear in mind it has re launched its own genre, with other companies putting out (very good!) copies.
Imitation is the highest form of flattery.

Less than a week to grab this.

If you have remotely considered playing XCom (Tyrant!!) then you really should.
