Yeah my buddy got on this a long time ago. I probably should have too. Starting to look really ace. Could be fun to TS with OPer's but you know if we get on a ship with Hoff he will open the bay doors and jettison us all into space. Would be funny though.

I don't think he's do that, He'd just wait till you were on an EVA to a derelict, then move the ship away at the maximum speed of your jet packs and wait for you to run out of oxygen just a few feet away. ;)

Hoff would steal your credentials, troll somewhere and get you banned forever.

Anyway, looks really nice!

About NMS. I think that would be mainly a meditative experience. I would try.

It's in alpha atm, so this was just a teaser. It's crowd funded, but the project has grown exponentially as so much money poured in (over 120 million so far).

From the site it seems you can download a basic scenario. But the full game is a year or two off. It will however have multiple star systems, trading, fps multiplayer combat and all sorts of shit. Running on the latest Crysis engine (I think). Moar here:

I will download the alpha today and have a look.

AS for NMS, it is kinda meditative and a nice break from more frenetic games, I tend to play it late at night before bed when I've rage quit World of Warships, lol.

Except I'm stuck trying to get into a manufacturing plant that's partly underwater. I have to blast the doors...except I cant find them.

Oh and there's a good mod that allows you to fly your ship closer to the ground.

Some more footage, showing yummy graphics and FPS scenes.

Just bought a starter package and am downloading the alpha version now. Will post screenshots later.

Probably should start a thread on this, rather than clutter up the NMS one.
