What am I looking at??

phpBB [video]

What's the settings of this one? Modern day maybe because of the silos in the field scene and the rifle type in the church scene. But then what...?

I believe the big reveal is this Friday.

Ubisoft are the laziest game makers. They're all a variant of the same open world format and they all feel so familiar.

I love it. I play through perhaps 3 games a year, and with the exception of Arkham Knight and Deus Ex they've been the Far Crys, Assassins Creeds and recently Ghost Recon, an incredibly repetitive game and yet...

I loved Far Cry 3. Best one if you ask me. Great story and gameplay. If they can top that
it'll probably be game of the year for me...at least on PC.

RDR2 would have been #1 but since those Rockstar fuckers will double dip to make extra $$ by releasing RDR2 a year or more later, F that. Like the GTAV release model, great for that company, bad for the consumer.

I'll try it if it's free.

I'd like to see a game with more realistic crowd scenarios, like hundreds of people in metro stations etc. Don't think it's ever been done well.

The one upcoming zombie game has hordes in the video at least. Was it Days gone...? That looked something I'd shit my pants a bit.

Seems like the leak was correct. Fighting a hillbilly cult it is... and wtf...airplanes?!... :-O

btw: That ^ picture is alluding to DiVinci's Last Supper. The setting alone makes it incredibly interesting. I really like games that incorporate dark Americana.

Ubisoft just announced Season Pass DLCs for FC5.

- the first DLC will be set in Vietnam against the Viet Cong.
- second will be a B-movie-inspired zombies expansion
- last DLC will be set on Mars, where you fight alien arachnids? wtf lol
... also includes Far Cry 3.

As a reminder, Far Cry 5 is set in present day Montana, USA :))

Image

Already I can see that it seems to add much more value than Fallout 4's Season Pass.

------

BTW: Here is the latest video released today: ( also placed it on Bunny's post since Ubi removed it )

It'll be interesting to see how they work the plot to explain why half the country's SWAT haven't descended on the place yet.

I hope it's not another game where you are driving around large areas in a jeep and there are little bands of enemy dudes everywhere that you have to kill to "recapture the outpost" or some meaningless shit while in the meantime extracting seeds from flowers and skinning rats to build potions and rucksacks to hold more shit and the firefights aren't just boring repetitive shit that aren't fun at all and you wonder when the damn game is gonna end cuz it just isn't fun.

They want to avoid another Waco/ATF situation.

I suppose a small group of gun totin' vigilantes slaughtering cult members like animals is the lesser of the two evils.

Apparently this why the New Colossus failed in the U.S. - it had negroes and KKK which made certain borderline KKK people (half the population) uncomfortable.

Anyone playing this? Reviews are mostly positive, apart from the story which sounds like it's fallen flat.
