It's what I was always meant to do, but pride prevented me because colour deficiency (excluded from combat roles). Turns out though if you fail the ishara or whatever test (the gay one where u gotta tell the number in the faggot pebbles) you get to take the good old farnsworth lantern test. I'm pretty sure I can pass the latter; gonna find out from a hospital optometrist on the 9th. My vision is 20/20 btw
Colour Perception grades:
CP1: you pass the isharahrahra autistic cumguzzler test, and aren't excluded from any role because of colour vision
CP2: you fail the ishara test, but pass the lantern test. It's tricky to find exact info, but word has it (I give it about 70% reliability) that being rated CP2 doesn't exclude you from anything bar pilot, electronic warfare shit on subs and ships, and clearance diver, none of which interests me
CP3: you fail both and you're fucked for any combat role
So if I can pass the lantern test, it's infantry officer here I come and all muh magical dreams will come true. If I can't and am rated CP3 I'm just gonna go Intelligence Corps Officer I guess. Thing is, the rules *can* be malleable to certain degrees... there have been CP3's who've some fucking how managed to transfer into infantry later. Either way, I figure if I top the class decisively (which I fucking will) at RMC (where they train officer recruits then the ones who pass are assigned to different corps) and am CP2 I should be able to get my pick. Hopefully
I thought there was a tacit agreement in this here forum that NONE of its members would EVER seek to pursue a career in the military to spare the feelings of its Most Valued Poster, Mr. SomeGuy, whose country decided it wasn't up to the task of turning him into a lean, mean killing machine (but promised instead Green Cards to Mesoamericans if they were kind enough to consider joining).
By revealing your decision (which, at least, could have been kept secret until it was actually met with success ...) in such a way shows this autistic trait you're so fond of denouncing in others.
