They’re too focused on the building and maintenance of those mobile TV detectors.

And beating up folks for other people's parking tickets.

Is a good idea.. The fuckers need discipline in their lives and to learn about consequences.

Not sure how they caught these guys. The building was boarded up so I'd have thought any amount of electricity would have been a bit suspicious, although I don't know if/how the electricity provider and police liaise on such matters.

The consequences being getting punched in the face unless you keep your guard up.

I dont know what's going on with Brexit as I'm not checking the news. I'm presuming we're still in the EU. I don't think Britain is great again YET. [X++X]

But how will I know when we're great again? Knowing that would definitely help.

Same time that America is respected across the planet again, and when Hell freezes over.

Hell will freeze over first.

I think he's being lined up to take over as "National Treasure", once Attenborough makes way.

What we choose to emphasize in this complex history will determine our lives. If we see only the worst, it destroys our capacity to do something. If we remember those times and places—and there are so many—where people have behaved magnificently, this gives us the energy to act, and at least the possibility of sending this spinning top of a world in a different direction. And if we do act, in however small a way, we don’t have to wait for some grand utopian future. The future is an infinite succession of presents, and to live now as we think human beings should live, in defiance of all that is bad around us, is itself a marvellous victory." - Howard Zinn

My wife broke my 'no news' barrier to tell me that Theresa May has set some sort of timetable for her departure after the next Brexit vote, and that Boris Johnson has unsurprisingly thrown his hat into the ring.

If he becomes PM there had better be another general election so we can vote his and the Tories ass out in the wilderness.

But for now it's back to ignorant bliss....

My wife is next door watching the Oz election results tonight, which, apparently are not going well for the forces of reason, except that perhaps our version of Boris Johnson, former Oz PM, Tony Abbott looks like losing his seat. News I did not really care to know or I would be part of it.

Meh.

I stopped watching TV so many years ago I can't really remember when. I rarely give in to read day to day news online. I never read newspapers and a few days ago I deleted my Facebook account and all other online presence, except for this den of iniquity.

There is more beauty and meaning in a single event in my garden, be it a new flower, or a sadly expired lizard, than all the crap pounded out by great forces, that barely effect me day to day. And if they do come for me, I am powerless to oppose them.

My last years will no longer be at the mercy of despair and misery pounding on my consciousness from shithead elites, dumb-arse violent thugs, or whatever, who try to play their stupid games and are ignorant of everyday bliss, or their own fragile mortality.

My lungs are failing and my heart may give out at any moment. What need have I of painful distractions?

So who do I vote for on Thursday if I don't want UKIP, Brexit Party or the Tories taking seats in the European Parliament?

What a fucking embarrassment.

I'm avoiding the news. I will wait for another year so I can get a full view on whether we have Brexited or not.

Go for a purely local/special interest group.

Campaign group to build a by-pass, more funding for the local hospital, protection of a nearby Stately Home. That sort of thing.

Bound to be dozens of those looking for a seat in the European Parliament.

Or failing that, pick any party you have never heard of before: just avoid the ones you have heard of.

It's your Patriotic Duty!
