"Canadians also reported the longest wait times for specialists, with 56 per cent waiting longer than four weeks to see a specialist, compared with the international average of 36 per cent."

If you have anything urgent, like a heart attack, service is immediate. Also you don’t have to sell your house to get it.

Hey - didn't Jordan Peterson's wife just have to go to a US hospital to fix the fuck up Canadian doctors did to her trying to treat her cancer?

They first said she had terminal cancer. Then they said they could treat it but nicked her lymph duct removing one of her kidneys. After 5 weeks in a Canadian hospital slowly dying from the leaking duct, they flew her to Philadelphia to fix the Canadian fuck up and hopefully on to a full recovery.

On top of all of this, a Canadian doctor prescribed Jordan Peterson clonazepam as an anti-depressant to help him cope through all of the drama with his wife. Only to find out it is a motherfucker to get off with massive side effects. Now Jordan Peterson had to check into a Canadian drug rehab program to help deal with the withdrawal.

For cheap dental work and other minor things.

No one is going to Mexico looking for better healthcare. Just cheaper healthcare.

Of course, it is always a crap shoot when you go to the 3rd world for anything. This woman should have tried intermittent fasting instead.

Quote:
They went to Mexico for surgery. They came back with a deadly superbug.

Tamika Capone thought she was making a smart call by traveling to Mexico for bariatric surgery. Her doctor had urged her to have the procedure to reduce her out-of-control weight and blood pressure. But her husband’s health insurance would not cover the $17,500 bill. After a friend got the surgery in Tijuana for $4,000, Capone decided to do the same.

Nearly four months later, the Arkansas woman is one of at least a dozen U.S. residents who returned from surgeries in Tijuana with a rare and potentially deadly strain of bacteria resistant to virtually all antibiotics, say federal health officials. Some in the group recovered, but Capone, 40, remains seriously ill despite being treated with a barrage of drugs.

If the bacteria spread to her bloodstream, doctors say, it could be fatal.

Well duh.

Worser and affordable is generally better than betterer but unaffordable.

That only works provided you can go to a place like America to get the best and most sophisticated healthcare on the planet when your "affordable" healthcare gives you sepsis or makes you wait too long for treatment.

Yeah, well funnily enough it's not so common we've got millions of people on the streets demanding an American-style healthcare system.

Plenty in Murrica asking for socialist healthcare though.

But the MAJORITY of Americans are very happy with their healthcare.

Whereas, in the UK......

Quote:
More people are unhappy with the NHS than satisfied for the first time in a poll of the public run by Britain’s doctors, and 70% say they think the health service is going in the wrong direction.

Fixed to include a somewhat important nuance.

Because politicians keep getting in the way.

Also Brits moan a lot.

Also we have the choice of taking additional private healthcare if we want.
