Raining a bit... Just enough to make the roads slippery. I guess it has to rain sometimes. :)

Mud, grey and wet, but I guess it's better than +50C and the whole country burning.

It is beautiful in Utah this week. I am here with the family skiing at Brian Head which is a nice little small resort in the southwest portion of Utah about 3 hours outside of Vegas. It is pretty high up (10,000 feet at the mountain base) so breathing was a little rough the first day. Yesterday was our first day skiing and it was bright sunny and about 32 degrees. Snow was decent, not fresh powder - but well groomed. Today is going to be a little colder, but still sunny and tomorrow they are expecting about 4" of new snow. This is the first time I have skied with my kids. My boy is scaring the shit out of me as he is fearless and going way too fast.

This is a great resort and about half the price of Mammoth and other California resorts. The crowds are low and no lines waiting at the lifts. It was worth the extra 2 hours of driving (8 hours total to get here).

Looks like winter is cancelled here. Because snow is white and that's racist.
And I just bought high grade winter gear.

Yeah - that shit gets old after about 30 minutes. Now enjoy all the melting black and dirty slush over the next 10 days of rain you have forecasted. I am still cleaning out our car from our Utah trip last week from all of the mud and dirty black snow.

Cunting snow

Walked a mile to the beer store in 1 foot+ of fresh powder. Got beer. Slammed back a pint on the way home. Fuck it.

Don't need an excuse.

Been dry and not that warm for the past 2-3 weeks. Windy too. Or in other terms a typical January.

There's the beginnings of a rumor that next week we might have snow again. And real stuff too, not this dusting maybe they're predicting for tomorrow.
