Another week of weather perfection in SoCal - Sunny, 80's and low humidity. Some risk of fire. The rose bush I transplanted this Spring finally bloomed this week! My bougainvillea is taking off again too.

There are four? In Colorado there's only three at most, Snow Season, Mud Season and Hot/Monsoon Season. I remember being in San Jose California when I was 7, there's only two seasons there. Hot and dry summer including the Diablo wind season in September/October and the rainy season which lasts til May.

Not at all. I don't miss suffering through cold winters and hot/humid summers to enjoy and appreciate 11 months of perfect Spring/Fall weather.

Besides, we get plenty of change. The days get much shorter in the winter and the winter rains turn all of the hills and mountains bright green for about 5 months. We also get snow in the local mountains that can be seen from the coast. Then we have all of the different seasonal flowers.

Present temp about 38F (~3C) and cloudless and calm.

Forecast here starting late tomorrow is snow and possibly a decent amount. Expectations for my area are 5-8 inches but I've seen their forecasts like that end up nowhere near. Sometimes vastly overestimating what's going to happen, sometimes vastly underestimating.

Got a foot of snow ultimately. Saw 8 inches at 4 am. Only has a measly two inches at work in Pueblo.

Now I’m beginning to wonder how I can be 30 degrees further south latitude than Bunny but have five times the snow and much colder to boot. Is the North Atlantic Drift that much of a moderator over there?

Your new Colorado border wall should help mitigate that.

5:00 and 92. Nearly zero humidity and really comfortable and cool in the house with no AC and just a few fans running.

I love this October weather when there are no fires. Last night's sunset sky was amazing.

Ha! We only get fires in the summer, and this year there weren't any. Clean air. Yeah.
