We have Long-eared and Short-eared here too. They should be arriving from the north in about a month.

Via Amazon Prime?

I just go with regular Amazon until they offer me another free month of Prime.

That was great. We're planning to make this a tradition until the kids grow up some and come with us.

Damn I should have known.. I had one as my first snake years ago. Lovely gentle things.

We get them in the backyard. Harmless things but cool to see.

Apparently there is a rattle snake that lives in these parts...never seen one...lots of garter snakes though. Snakes always mess me up when I see them. Takes a few extra milliseconds to figure out exactly what I'm seeing. Cool as fuck though.

My son and I just did a camp at Del Mar beach in Camp Pendleton through the YMCA Adventure Guides program this weekend. Fantastic time for my boy and I got to meet some really cool dudes with impressive backgrounds/careers.

Awesome sunsets each night. Here is a crappy iphone pic.

Long since sold all my camera gear but I recently did something I have never done - Actually printed some of my photos. In consultation with Mrs Spandex we chose 4, had them printed large and framed and now have them on the wall running up the stairs. Really like them and wish I had done it much (Like, decades) sooner.
